ABOUT

Hi, we're Her Midlife Chapter.

Her Midlife Chapter is a small education project for women in their late 30s, 40s and 50s who are noticing changes and wondering what's going on. Maybe your sleep has shifted, your periods are different, or your focus isn't what it used to be.

We write in plain language, we keep it kind, and we check what we say against trusted health organizations such as the NHS, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, ACOG, The Menopause Society and the US National Institute on Aging. Every article lists its sources so you can read them yourself.

How we write

  • We only cite sources we've read, and we link to them.
  • We don't make up numbers.
  • We don't promise cures, quick fixes or results.
  • We don't sell supplements or treatments on this site.
  • We encourage you to take questions to your doctor.
Education, not medical advice.

The content on this site is for general information and education only. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for care from a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. Always talk to a healthcare professional about your own symptoms, before starting or stopping any treatment, and if anything is worrying you. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, in the US or Canada you can call or text 988.

About the symptom check

At the end of some articles we link to our free 2-minute symptom check. It's a separate site that walks you through a few questions about what you've noticed. At the end you can enter your first name and email to get a free personalized educational summary by email, which you can take to an appointment. Like this blog, it's educational only and doesn't diagnose.
